Di seguito ti scrivo alcuni suggerimenti per aiutarti ad avere un colloquio sereno con il tuo oncologo.
Fai una lista delle domande da fare.
Consigliabile ordinare queste domande per priorità (dalle più importanti alle meno importanti).
Questo può essere di aiuto per l’oncologo che potrà capire come aiutarvi
Proferisci quali sono stati i disturbi e la loro frequenza e come li hai gestiti dopo l’ultima visita.
Durante l’incontro con il tuo oncologo è fondamentale avere un ruolo attivo:
- Se hai domande da fare ti consiglio di farlo all’inizio della visita.
In questo modo il tuo oncologo potrà organizzare la visita prevedendo del tempo da dedicare alle tue domande.
- Prendi nota delle informazioni più importanti.
Scrivere ti permetterà di rivederle in un secondo momento e non rischiare di dimenticarle.
- Se qualcosa non ti è chiaro, chiedi un chiarimento.
Non bisogna mai aver timore di chiedere chiarimenti, anche più di una volta, in caso non riesci a comprendere una spiegazione o una indicazione.
- Chiedi conferma all’oncologo, ripetendo le informazioni che ti ha dato con il tuo linguaggio, per essere certi di aver capito correttamente.
- Non avere paura di riferire apertamente le tue emozioni e le tue sensazioni
Il tuo oncologo avrà modo di chiarirti i tuoi dubbi e rassicurarti.

- E’ preferibile essere accompagnati da un familiare o da un amico che sarà in grado aiutarti a ricordare i dettagli di quanto il tuo oncologo ti dirà nel corso del colloquio
- Ricordati di portare sempre con te la prescrizione che ti ha fatto l’oncologo in occasione della tua ultima visita.
